About Amy Disatham

Amy Disatham graduated with her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences in May of 2023. Her projects focused on developing plasma-based diagnostics for pancreatic cancer as well as HIV. Throughout her Ph.D. program, she provided her colleagues with extensive pre-submission editing. During her graduate program, she wrote 8 first-author peer-reviewed publications and 1 co-authored peer-reviewed publication.

In February 2022, she started medical writing for a consultancy firm that provided services for biotechnology companies. She has since attended many on-site and online advisory boards where she has produced executive summaries for her clients’ meetings.

In 2023, Dr. Disatham branched out into professional scientific editing services for a non-profit where she ensures the articles posted adhere to strict and ethical scientific reporting in easy-to-understand language.

In her spare time, she enjoys practicing aikido, iaido, and recreational writing.
